Komatsu Part O-RING 714-23-15560

Product Overview
The 714-23-15560 O-RING is a genuine Komatsu OEM replacement O-ring from the 714 prefix series. O-rings are the most common sealing method in your Komatsu machine's hydraulic system — they compress into precision-machined grooves between two components to block the escape of pressurized oil, fuel, or coolant. Though simple in appearance, an O-ring's material compound, cross-section diameter, and inner diameter are precisely engineered for the specific pressure, temperature, and fluid it will encounter in service.

Don't Let a Small Part Cause a Big Problem
An O-ring costs just a few dollars, but a leaking O-ring can cause problems that cost thousands. A hydraulic fitting that weeps oil eventually leads to low system pressure, sluggish machine performance, and contaminated oil that damages pumps and valves downstream. The leak itself creates an environmental hazard and a slip risk on the machine. And in the worst case, a failed O-ring on a suction line allows air into the pump, causing cavitation that destroys the pump internally in a matter of hours. All from a rubber ring that should have been replaced when the connection was opened for service.
Our advice to every Komatsu owner and technician is simple: never reuse an O-ring. These seals take a compression set during their first installation. Opening the joint releases that compression, and the O-ring cannot re-conform to seal effectively a second time. The few seconds you save by reusing the old seal are not worth the risk of a comeback leak. We stock a comprehensive range of Komatsu OEM O-rings and can ship quickly to any location worldwide.

When to Replace
Replace the 714-23-15560 whenever you see fluid leaking at the sealed connection — oil, fuel, or coolant weeping from the fitting or flange joint. Also replace it when the O-ring feels hard to the touch, shows surface cracks, or has developed a visible flat spot (compression set) where it was compressed in the groove. Cuts, nicks, extrusion damage, or rolled edges on the seal surface are clear evidence of damage. And every time a sealed joint is opened for service, install a new O-ring — no exceptions.

Installation
- Confirm 714-23-15560 matches the old seal's inner diameter and cross-section
- Clean the groove thoroughly — old seal fragments, dirt, and dried oil create immediate leak paths
- Apply a thin film of clean hydraulic oil to the O-ring — this helps it slide into the groove without rolling or twisting
- Position the O-ring without twisting — a rolled O-ring will leak the moment system pressure is applied
- Tighten the connection to Komatsu's specified torque — correct compression is critical for both sealing and seal life
