The 09370-00050 U-PACKING is a genuine Komatsu OEM replacement U-packing. U-packings (also called U-cups or U-seals) are hydraulic seals with a U-shaped cross-section — the open side of the U faces the system pressure, and as pressure increases, the seal lips are forced outward against the shaft and bore wall, creating a progressively tighter seal. This self-energizing characteristic makes U-packings excellent for cylinder piston and rod sealing applications.
